About Aparupa
(An Organisation for Women Empowerment)

APARUPA is a non-profit, voluntary organisation dedicated to the empowerment and upliftment of women. Established seven years ago, APARUPA has grown into a strong community-based movement with more than 76,000 women members who are actively engaged in bringing meaningful change at the grassroots level.

The core mission of APARUPA is to ensure that women from underprivileged and deprived sections of the society receive opportunities for dignity, independence, and self-reliance. Since its inception, APARUPA has always provided wide-ranging support including medical aid, treatment funds, food distribution, educational assistance, shelter, unemployment support, and livelihood generation programs for the welfare of the society. Each initiative is carefully designed to address real challenges faced by women and to enable them to build sustainable futures for themselves and their families.

APARUPA also believes in recognising and celebrating the contributions of women towards society. Every year, the organisation hosts its flagship cultural and social event where achievers and contributors are honoured. As part of this event, APARUPA confers two prestigious awards: the APARUPA MOHIYOSHI NARI BOTA and the APARUPA EXCELLENCY AWARD. These recognitions highlight the achievements of women and social workers who have made a positive impact, while also encouraging others to engage in service and leadership. In this program, we also provide financial support to economically deprived females in order to encourage them and support them.  In this program, we also distribute wheelchairs to some of the physically abled needy persons of the society.

Over the years, APARUPA has established itself as a trusted platform for collective action. With the strength of its large volunteer base, the organisation has been able to reach across communities—whether it is arranging emergency treatment for a woman in need, supporting education for children, providing food during crises, or creating employment opportunities for the unemployed.

What makes APARUPA unique is its ability to combine grassroots volunteerism with structured programmes, ensuring both immediate relief and long-term empowerment. The organisation is committed to working with government bodies, private institutions, and like-minded partners to expand its outreach and create a stronger impact.

With its strong network of members, proven track record, and clear focus on women’s empowerment, APARUPA today stands as a symbol of resilience, service, and social transformation. Through its continued efforts, the organisation strives to build a society where women are respected, supported, and provided equal opportunities to thrive and contribute.

Mission of Aparupa

APARUPA, an organisation for women empowerment, was started with the mission to create dignity, security, and self-reliance for women, particularly those from deprived and underprivileged communities. Since its inception of seven years ago, Aparupa has always worked for women and children. The organization has actively worked across diverse areas of need, including medical aid, flood relief, education support, shelter, unemployment assistance, and livelihood generation to the weaker sections of the society. Through these initiatives, the organization has touched the lives of thousands of women and their families, ensuring not only immediate relief but also long-term empowerment.

APARUPA has also organized many health camps to create awareness of various diseases among people. The organization also stood against various anti-social activities whether it be any harassment against any female in her workplace or at her home.

This year, APARUPA has placed a strong emphasis on health awareness and support for women battling cancer and for the special child. Recognising the increasing number of cases and the stigma attached to the disease, the organisation has taken significant steps to address this challenge. Its initiatives now include:

Cancer Awareness Campaigns – Educating communities on the importance of early detection and preventive care.

Aid to Cancer Patients – Providing financial, emotional, and logistical support for those undergoing treatment

Honouring Cancer Survivors – Recognising and celebrating survivors as symbols of strength and hope.

Promoting Early Detection – Encouraging regular check-ups, screenings, and timely medical intervention.

Facilitating Proper Treatment – Guiding patients and families towards reliable medical resources and treatment facilities.

Spreading Positivity – Building a culture of emotional resilience, optimism, and courage among patients and their families.

Social Acceptance & Support – Breaking myths and stigma around cancer, ensuring survivors are respected and reintegrated with dignity.

Inspiring Hope – Creating awareness campaigns and community platforms that highlight stories of survival and recovery.

Aid to Special Child – Motivating the parents of the special child and arranging Awareness Camps how to recognize at an early stage. Providing financial, emotional, and logistical support to the special children.

Aid to Physically Disables – Providing wheelchairs to the economically deprived individuals.

Through these focused efforts, APARUPA seeks not only to fight cancer but also to empower patients with knowledge, strength, and confidence, while mobilising society towards compassion and acceptance.

The mission of APARUPA continues to be clear and uncompromising: to uplift women, safeguard their health, and build a society where every woman—regardless of her circumstances—can live with dignity, independence, and hope.

Vision of Aparupa

APARUPA envisions a society where women are recognised as equal partners in progress and are provided with the dignity, respect, and opportunities they rightfully deserve. The organisation strives to create an environment where no woman is held back by poverty, lack of education, social barriers, or health challenges. Its vision is to see women rise beyond deprivation and discrimination, empowered with knowledge, skills, and independence to lead fulfilling lives.

At the heart of APARUPA’s vision lies the belief that the empowerment of women is the foundation for building stronger families, resilient communities, and a more compassionate society. APARUPA seeks to become a platform where women, regardless of their background, find support for their immediate needs as well as encouragement to dream, achieve, and inspire others.

In recent years, APARUPA has extended its vision towards building a health-conscious and supportive society. The organisation recognises that health is central to empowerment, and therefore places a strong focus on creating awareness about cancer—a disease that affects many lives but is often surrounded by fear and stigma. APARUPA’s vision is to foster a culture where early detection and proper treatment are prioritized, where patients are guided with care, and where survivors are honoured as symbols of courage and resilience.

Through its initiatives, APARUPA envisions a society where cancer patients are not isolated but embraced with compassion; where survivors are celebrated and integrated into the mainstream with respect; and where hope replaces despair. By spreading knowledge, promoting regular check-ups, and encouraging positive mindsets, the  organisation aims to transform community attitudes towards cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.

Ultimately, APARUPA’s vision is to be a beacon of empowerment, health, and hope—a movement that uplifts women, inspires resilience, and builds an inclusive future where every woman, regardless of her circumstances, can live with dignity, independence, and pride.

Research and analysis & our Future Objectives:

In our research study, we have observed that economic balance in the society can be overcome by empowering marginalized populations, bridging gaps in government services and fostering self reliance to break the cycle of poverty. It is very essential to implement comprehensive strategies that improve access to education, vocational training, financial literacy, and digital skills, while also promoting entrepreneurship and improving the availability of necessary infrastructure and community support. These efforts empower individuals with the tools and opportunities to escape poverty and build sustainable livelihoods for themselves and their families, thereby disrupting generational cycles of disadvantage.

In this context, since its inception, APARUPA has always worked for the upliftment of the economic balance in the society in every ways whether it is the economically deprived MOHIYOKHIS (economically weaker females & cancer patients) by providing them financial support for encouraging and promoting entrepreneurship or the other budding entrepreneurs who are in search of a platform where they can showcase their credibility.

APARUPA with its 76,000 strength in its facebook group has been very successful in streaming a very strong network in its grassroots engaging in consistent online communication encouraging women empowerment and sharing successful compelling stories and visual content to inspire the community as a whole.
